Good Morning Montgomery

They're calling it the flood of '09. Supposedly the worse flooding in many decades. I wouldn't know cause all I ever see is crazy weather like this. Yesterday the boys and I took a detour home because they were predicting hail...and I wanted shelter for the mini. I knew we only had a few minutes to get somewhere and I recalled a Sonic nearby. I figured we could stop for an ice cream and atleast half of the car would be protected. Well when we got there the store was closed...I mean shut down, no longer in business. That was actually great for me cause I just pulled in directly under the awnings (the whole car was protected). As the hail started to come down, several people followed my lead. 

This morning I was running late. I was trying to get my mother's day stuff together...which by the way I hope didn't get messed up by all this rain. Anyway it started pouring, I figured I'd call my boss with that as my excuse, but when I looked at the weather channel, it seemed as though this might last a while. I wasn't sure if I'd actually make it to work after all. But the rain slacked off and we headed out. While at work, it continued to rain and the guys were all clustered around the windows...the street out front was flooded. Once I got home my neighbor mentioned flooding that he had heard about and after a little investigation, it was apparently very bad. Fortunately we were very lucky.

I'm telling ya, the weather here is crazy. OH! And just like with the bare feet, in case you think I'm exaggerating...well, I saw a house for sale and it said it had  a storm room...where do we live that you need  a storm room!
